Still waiting for a new episode? Yeah, sorry about that. Schedules around here at the METALHEADS Podcast have been complicated lately. But lucky for you one of the things that has been delaying a new episode is the week George and John just spent in Atlanta for ProgPower XVII. And we did lots of recording while there, so here is another episode of field recordings from ProgPower to hold you over.
To hold everyone over between episodes here is a compilation of recent coverage. Buke covers GWARBQ 2016 on Saturday while George, Will and John cover Black Sabbath's The End on Sunday.
In Episode 53 George, Buke, Jay and John are joined for the entire episode by Joel Violette of Thrawsunblat. After talking about the new album, Thrawsunblat III: Metachthonia, everyone gets into the News, New Releases, our Top 5 Desert Island Discs, and all the other usual segments. Classics has been replaced by the new Personal Recommendations segment.
In Episode 52, George, Buke, Jay and John talk with Keenan and Dylan of Wildernessking. Will drops by for a little while as well. As a follow-up to last episodes mid-year lists the top 3 explores our most anticipated albums coming up in the second half of 2016. News, New Releases and all the other usually segments are discussed.
In Episode 51 Jay is back in California, but Will and John are in the studio and bearing beverages! We are also joined by special guest Dan Kaplan from the Nine Circles Podcast. All the usual segments make an appearance, plus the bonus-sized spectacular Top 11 Albums of 2016 at Mid-Year. This one goes to 11.
In Episode 50 Jay is in the studio with George and Buke, while Will and John Skype in. We cover all the usual segments before getting into our on-site coverage of the 2016 Maryland Deathfest. Interviews include Novembers Doom, Wombbath, Atrophy and Satan.

The Top 5 for this episode is Most Anticipated Bands at Maryland Deathfest. Tribute is also paid to the late Nick Menza.

In Episode #47, George, Buke and Jay are joined by John and Mark. The first order of business is an interview with Carmelo Orlando from Italian prog doom band Novembre. This is followed by News, New Releases, What We Are Listening To, Classic Albums, Purchases and Deep Tracks. Mark helps out with the Top 3 Female-Fronted Bands. The episode closes out with George, Will and John giving a postmortem of an Amon Amarth show.

In Episode 44 the guys interview Pile of Priests and play a pair of songs from their album "Void to Enlightenment.". As usual we bring the news, new releases, the Top 3 albums we like to listen to on vinyl, classic albums, and What We’ve Been Listening To. Vinyl purchases and Deep Tracks close out the episode.

In Episode 42, George and Buke report in from Jonas' Blizzard 2016 ground zero, while Jay sits smug and warm(er) from afar. No band this episode, just plenty of the usual metal talk.
Episode 41 is the first episode of 2016. Lemmy has died and the galaxy is in turmoil. George, Buke and Jay are once again joined by Will and John for the usual segments as well as the gang's top 10 albums of the last 15 (or so) years. The first international interview has the guys joined by Jono and Rhys from Australia's Roundtable. Two songs from the new album Dread Marches Under Bloodied Regalia are featured.
In Episode 40 George, Buke, Jay, Will and John converge to provide each of their top 25 metal albums for 2015. Before we get into the lists we have an interview with Bill and Albert from Gloom. We also summarize 2015 and look forward towards 2016. The episode closes with a new track from HarryBigButton.
In Episode 39 George, Buke and Jay are joined for the whole episode by Trevor Portz of Ashen Horde. Trevor even participates in all the regular segment: News, New Releases, our Top 3 discoveries of 2015, classic albums, what we've been listening to and even vinyl purchases. Brutality at the Brewery II: In this special edition of the Metal Heads Podcast George and Buke head down to Virginia for Fair Winds Brewing Brutality at the Brewery II hosted by Brewer Will. Will brewed up a batch of beer in honor of the band Yesterday's Saints, who were on hand to enjoy Will's work. This episode is the result of on-site discussions with Will and Yesterday's Saints.
